CERRIX AND COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT
The business is usually exposed to a number of different regulations. Assuring the compliance with this regulation asks for procedures and tools that helps identifying compliance risks, mismatches in current operations and must support in helping to determine completeness of compliancy. CERRIX helps compliance officers with these tasks.

Compliance Risk: Likewise ORM, compliance risks can be treated similarly. This is even preferred considering the need for integrated GRC. Compliance Risk is the current and prospective risk to earnings or capital arising from violations of, or nonconformance with, laws, rules, regulations, prescribed practices, internal policies, and procedures, or ethical standards. Compliance risk also arises in situations where the laws or rules governing certain organization’s products or activities of the its clients may be ambiguous or untested. In CERRIX, Compliance risk is mitigated with Controls and anticipated actions. |

Compliance Controls: Compliance controls in CERRIX can be specified individually or with use of pre-defined control-sets. For some legislation (e.g. MIFID), CERRIX can deliver predefined controls. Special attention is required for principle based legislation. We have derived a methodology for translating this type of regulation into dedicated controls. |

Linking Legislation to business: CERRIX can be linked to real-time databases with legislation information. This strong feature enables compliance officers to validate the legislation it is exposed to, against business elements such as products, services, hiring policies etc. For this CERRIX has engaged a partnership with the publisher European Risk & Compliance Electronic Publishers which offers a real-time database with most of European Legislation (see also www.ercep.com). |

Action Monitoring: Likewise Audit, Compliance officers may impose measure-of-improvements for business managers whenever compliance risk may ask for this. The workflow support in this module helps the compliance officer to monitor the progress for completion. |
