Head of Engineering

About the Role

CERRIX is looking for a VP of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering team while driving technical excellence and innovation. As a key member of the leadership team, you will shape the technology strategy, ensure a scalable architecture, and foster a high-performance engineering culture. Your role will be instrumental in strengthening CERRIX’s position as the premier all-in-one platform for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Mentor and coach the engineering team, fostering growth and technical excellence.
• Ensure the right team structure and hiring strategy to support company growth.
• Promote collaboration between engineering, product, and customer support.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management

• Work closely with the security officer to implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee infrastructure security, access controls, and data protection.

Vendor Relations

• Optimize infrastructure costs (e.g., cloud expenses, third-party tools).
• Negotiate with vendors and manage partnerships (e.g., Azure, OpenAI APIs).

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably experience in a leadership role.
• Proven experience scaling engineering teams in a SaaS product environment.
• Strong expertise in cloud-based architectures, AI/ML, and security best practices.
• Deep understanding of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Hands-on approach to leadership, with a strong focus on mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Experience in risk, compliance, or audit software is a plus.
